While our beloved characters are taking a much-needed vacation, we wanted to share this fun still life project with you! We challenged ourselves to create a set for the @stillherestilllife dtiys, and we had a blast doing it. It was a new and exciting challenge for us, since we don't usually work with sets. Since we´re still trying to develop our style and give our pieces more context, we thought of starting with the looks of our characters. Making the clothes and choosing a certain kind of style is such a big part of putting a personality together. We find that it´s challenging to avoid any kind of stereotypes, especially if you can create something from scratch. So we wanted to dedicate this illustration to gender-non conformity, by portraying an androgynous man.
During the development we´ve realized that men who dress stereotypically more feminine seem much more unconventional, then women who dress stereotypically more masculine.🤷🏻‍♀️
That said, we think it speaks for itself how much fun we had styling this one.✨✨
